Waterwork....working intensively with your dog.
This is a general website about waterworks. With this site we would like to inform people about waterworks through information, photos and videos. Photos of your dog during water work can also be included in our photo album. Stories from a day of water work are also always welcome! If you have any questions and/or comments about this website, we would like to hear from you. What can you expect on this site? Lots of useful information about swimming and water work in general and about the water trials, the annual event where the competition is held for the best water worker of the year. Enjoy watching & reading and see you on the waterfront! waterwerk-newfoundlander can also be found on Facebook. If you do not own a Newfoundland but would like to see the waterworks up close, you are very welcome to come and take a look at one of the regions in the Netherlands. You can contact us and we will provide directions, dates and times for the region near you. A number of waterwork demonstrations are also regularly given during the waterworks season. Volunteers wanted.
Various regions could use some helping hands. What does it mean? They can use your help at the water's edge with setting up the tent, laying out the lanes, registering participants, guiding the dogs at the water's edge or on the water itself, driving the boat or rowing, as a supervisor in the boat, teaching the dog to swim, guiding the dogs in their exercise, taking care of the dogs after an exercise, etc.
